Refer to Bug 29940 , the request on-wiki at [1], and the current hi-wp
namespaces and aliases at [2].
Several namespace aliases were added while resolving that bug. However, a typo
was missed. The aliases added included स for User and सवा also for user. The
latter is an obvious typo (that everybody seems to have missed till now).
The hindi word for talk is वार्ता, hence the वा is used in the aliases for the
relevant talkspaces. E.g:
वि: Project, विवा: Project talk
सा: template, सावा: template talk
मी: Mediawiki, मीवा: mediawiki talk
श्र: category, श्रवा: category talk
प्र: portal (ns 100), प्रवा: portal talk (ns 101)
Obviously, स is intended for User namespace (localized name सदस्य) and सवा is
supposed to be for User talk (localized name सदस्य वार्ता). सवा needs to be
changed to point to User talk instead of User.
I have not started an on-wiki discussion about this, since I'm pretty sure that
this is a typo (and I don't think fixing typos needs consensus, even if the
typo is in a namespace-alias). However, if sysadmins consider that a discussion
is needed, please let me know and I'll be glad to start one.
