             Bug #: 36185
Summary: Diff logic should not compare the addition of
                    templates to text
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: History/Diffs
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

I don't know how the diff logic is calculated, but it seems logical that if a
detailed infobox is added to the beginning of an article, the diff should not
compare that infobox to the intro.

It is very rare that exact text in prose would be converted into template data.
In this example the intro was expanded and an infobox added, and the diff is
comparing the infobox to the old intro.
