Bug #: 36187
Summary: can't see text entered in search box
Product: Wikipedia App
Version: 3.1.2 (iOS)
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: Search
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
Mobile Platform: ---
Not sure how much you need to know, but first here are the specs for my phone:
Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Model SPH-D710
Service provider: Sprint
Android version:2.3.6 A
Baseband Version: S:D710.10 S.EL29
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-SPH-D710.EL29.CL852097
Build#: Gingerbread.EL29
When I tap on the search box to enter text, the box is highlighted and my
keyboard pops up, but I noticed that the blinking cursor that normally appears
was absent. When I attempt to enter text, no words show up in the search box.
When using the Swype keyboard, no word suggestions show up either. When I
switch to the stock Samsung keyboard I still get nothing. I don't have this
issue with either keyboard while using any other apps, nor while using the
wikipedia mobile website. This began about two our three days ago. Please
advise.
Thanks,
Genny Williams
