The english Wikipedia is having usability and maintenance problems (see the
URL) due to the Collection/Books Extension. As such, tomorrow, we will be
hiding the Books sidebar with CSS, until a more satisfying solution can be
implemented.
Our idea is the following:
1: The books/collections sidebar becomes hidden (display:none) by default
2: We will add a link to the Special page of Collections to our sidebar
toolbox. (Create article collections ???)
3: A user can set a preference option, or visit Special:Book (and create a
collection) to activate the Collections/Book sidebar functionality.
We think it is important that we present our readers with as little confusing
functionality as possible.
