our monitoring setup to check puppet freshness on instances uses snmp traps.
Among other things this needs this running:
/usr/sbin/snmptrapd -On -Lsd -p /var/run/snmptrapd.pid
If that goes down all instances will report puppet freshness as critical.
Currently this was started manually. Need to make it reboot-safe / autostart
it, or best have puppet ensure it is up. We don't have a proper init script yet
though.
