Bug #: 36834
Summary: Exit page from
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalBlock
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: GlobalBlocking
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
Mobile Platform: ---
When the page
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalBlock is used to globally block
an IP address, the script exits to the url
https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php
with the text like
The IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx has been successfully blocked on all
projects.
Add another global block.
You can block the IP on Meta as well ...
This is unhelpful as it doesn't show the history of the IP address, so one
cannot see particularly problematic or regularly abused IP addresses. It would
be more useful if the page returned to
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalBlock/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
and had the text above, and then the form and any previous IP history.
Thanks for your consideration
