Bug #: 37341
Summary: [Regression] UW no longer rejects broken files
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: UploadWizard
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
Mobile Platform: ---
Until recently, UW rejected broken files. If, for example, I tried to upload an
SVG file where the closing </svg> tag was missing, after a click on "Upload"
(this was necessary in the previous version of UW) a warning was shown: "This
file might be corrupt". (See bug 33701)
Now I just get a message that the upload was successful.
I don't know how often a correct file was rejected as broken, so if you think
the number of false positive was too big, feel free to close this bug as
WONTFIX. But if the detection of broken files worked well, I should come back.
