OK, so I click the "rename" button on Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple, for
example, then get Special:Renameuser
If they are on SUL, of course I get this warning: "has been migrated to the
unified login system. Renaming it will cause the local user to be detached from
the global one."
If I click the "show block log for the user" button, the warning is no longer
present on the page which shows the block log. I click the "rename" button, and
it refreshes the rename page, this time with the warning.
Basically: where the block log is displayed, the page should display the
warning if the user to be changed is on SUL, and the tick box indicating "yes,
rename this user".
