Bug #: 37833
Summary: Shift-cursor selection downwards switches to upwards
selection once you use Up or Right arrow
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: VisualEditor

Place the caret. Press Shift and then a downwards selection key (i.e. Down or
Right arrow). As expected, you move the caret downwards correctly using either
key.
However, after some text is selected, pressing Up or Left causes the caret to
move to the start of the selection to expand (rather than allowing the leading
edge of the selection to be reduced). All further shift-cursor key presses
(Up/Down/Left/Right) only change the position of the earlier part of the
selection, and you can no-longer select as desired.
