This change makes the situation worse when the <pre> is longer than the window.
Look at the attached screenshot (MediaWiki:Common.js from TWN in a small
window).
Do you see at once that line 4 is not complete? To see the rest of it, you have
to use the vertical scrollbar of the window to scroll down to the horizontal
scrollbar of the pre block, then scroll right and up again (if the page were
longer, would you remember where you were?)
Try to read [[commons:MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js]] with the new CSS, you will
go mad.
