We'll likely add a simple unexpanded template round-trip mode first (so the page won't be WYSIWYG for templates at first). Expanded template round-tripping is quite hard with unbalanced templates, but we have some ideas for the establishment of affected DOM scope: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Parsoid/Todo#DOM_tree_builder.
