At least in Firefox the native audio player needs a minimal width (seems to be
300px) to display completely. When put inside the default thumb wrapper of
180px width, the player is just cut off, the width attribute in <audio> is
ignored.

This only affects the native player, the VLC plugin fits correctly in the small
thumb.
