             Bug #: 38740
Summary: Sorting languages in the language switcher
           Product: MediaWiki extensions
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
               URL: http://www.omegawiki.org/
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: OmegaWiki
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

It is difficult to find any language, including English, in the long unsorted
list of the language switcher, on the left of the homepage. I suggest an order
similar to the one used in Wikipedia, which is quite intuitive: similar letters
of different alphabets are together, for instance the Greek epsilon and the
Latin "e", or the Cyrillic М and the Latin M. Of course, variants of one
language, such as "British English" and "English" should be together.
By the way, rather than a rolling list, a fix list, like in Wikipedia, would be
more ergonomic.
