A new API module wbpatchitem which takes a patch (created e.g. through bug
#39147) and updates an item appropriately. This complements the functionality
of wbsetitem. There are certain transformations that wbsetitem cannot easily
support (besides through a complete reset). For these cases, wbpatchitem would
be appropriate.
