Bug #: 39309
Summary: alter UX for (not) reviewed user's own page
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: PageTriage
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
Mobile Platform: ---
As a user with Review privileges, create a page e.g.
http://ee-prototype.wmflabs.org/wiki/Thispageisnew
While logged in as that user, navigate to NewPagesFeed
http://ee-prototype.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:NewPagesFeed
User can see the page they just created in NewPagesFeed. Entry for that page
has a "Review" button.
Click the Review button. No Curation Toolbar appears on the resulting page.
As an anonymous user, edit the page in question.
As logged-in user, navigate to the page again. Still no Curation Toolbar
appears.
Issue: if users are not allowed to review pages they have created, suggest
either graying out the Review button for those entries in NewPagesFeed *or*
removing those entries from the NewPagesFeed view for that user.
Question: should users be allowed to review their own pages if those pages are
edited later by a different user?
