As discussed on IRC chat, let's switch all the filter settings for New Pages
Feed to use userOptions (permanently remembered) rather than cookies (temporary
remembered).
Also, let's make sure to include sort settings as well, so that the system can
'remember' whether you had selected 'Oldest' or 'Newest' on your last visit,
and show you that sort order by default.
This could also be used to store your 'minimize' or 'close' states for the
Curation Toolbar, or any other settings that deserve to be rembembered in a
more persistent way.
