I propose that account creation be locked on wikimania2012wiki, since :
* The wiki will be closed in a near future - but there are still some
legitimate edits from already registered users
* Among the 31 last users in this list:
<https://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/newusers&dir=prev&offset=20120723024528&type=newusers&user=>,
29 are spambots (CU-checked), 1 is undefined, and 1 is a legit user (not
checked with CU since it was obvious it wasn't a pattern spambot unlike the
other accounts). The junk user accounts have been globally locked and their
respective IP have been globally blocked if need was.
It would be best if accounts could still be created by already registered users
(although I do not think it will be necessary).
This would be a first action prior to closing the wiki since there are still
some edits that do not justify closing it down (such as this user's
<https://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Tbayer_%28WMF%29>).
I'm open to more suggestions or solutions if you have anything any better but
please make the spambots stop there.
