Some cached pages reference the search icon as
http://bits.wikimedia.org/static-1.20wmf8/skins/vector/images/search-ltr.png?303-4
which gives a 404 and thus a broken layout.
Purging fixes the issue, since the url then points to /static-1.20wmf10, but a
redirect would be very nice. In the past this wasn't a problem, since version
numbers didn't change that often, but with a regular deploy now the old paths
shouldn't be removed so early.
