I've wanted this feature for a while, and the Wikipedia:Tutorial/Citing sources
didn't give me any clues as to how to do it. I'm glad to see that this method
of list-defined references has been added. I've done a tiny bit of testing and
it works as I would expect, including auto-numbered sequencing; error when
citation doesn't exist; and error when reference is named but not used.

I agree that the feature seems to have been completed satisfactorily
