Bug #: 40981
Summary: Deleted feedback messages can't be restored
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: Moodbar
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
Mobile Platform: ---
It's not possible to restore deleted feedback messages. See for example
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciaal:DashboardTerugkoppeling/1633 and
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciaal:DashboardTerugkoppeling/1634. Both are
deleted, but can't even be found. In the log
(https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciaal:Logboeken/moodbar) you can see that
they're deleted by admin Silver Spoon, but there isn't a restore button
somewhere. It is possible to view and restore hidden messages, but not for
deleted messages.
On a side note, since recently it's possible for autoconfirmed users to hide,
restore and delete. See
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciaal:GroepsrechtenWeergeven. Was that your
intention? Because I don't think new users should be able to delete those
messages.
