I was on the Commons site within the beta cluster, and I saw that the
autocomplete in the search box doesn't seem to work. For example, when I go to
http://commons.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:Random/File and I start
typing "File:" or "Template:" in the search box, no autocomplete dropdown
displays.
I also verified this behavior on a few other beta cluster sites so I think it's
true across the beta cluster.
