Bug #: 41096
Summary: Interwikis: Error when trying to add an article
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: WikidataRepo
AssignedTo: [email protected]

Classification: Unclassified

Trying to add interwiki :en:Molecular oxygen, it is recognized by the
autocomplete; but when submit returns the error «Edit not allowed: El enlace
del sitio [[enwiki:Oxygen]] ya es usado por el elemento [[Q327]].»
The problem is that in the English Wikipedia, the article of the element and
the article of the molecule are merged onto one single article, and the last
one redirects to the first one.
In my experience, this is not an exception nor it's limited to chemistry. Often
I found two articles on one wikipedia merged on another wiki.
