See this search, which is on a domain on which it was only recently added (in time with the CC-BY-SA switchover): http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Awikifur.com&as_rights=(cc_publicdomain|cc_attribute|cc_sharealike).-(cc_noncommercial|cc_nonderived) It is used by the Creative Commons link generator: http://creativecommons.org/license/ (try generating a license, you'll see it there) I personally feel that Project:Copyrights is a more appropriate location for the meta copyright tag to point to, if it exists. The W3C specifies it as "a copyright statement for the current document."
