There should be a toggle on the edit window to temporarily change the
textarea's font style from monospace to sans-serif or serif or vice versa.
There's currently a user preference for this, but it's not easily toggle-able
on a per-page basis and it's obscure.
In addition to the ability to temporarily toggle the font style on a particular
page, it should also be possible to update your user preferences for the site
from the edit window, I think. This may be a separate bug, though.
