Just go to https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=move&user=&page=&year=&month=-1&tagfilter= select a recently moved file (source position of course) and you will likely get the "wrong rendering". If you then go 24h or more back, you'll see that they render correctly. Global usage display seems to be strongly related to the (in-)correct rendering of the redirect.
