As it was pointed out [1] version 1.8.0 already requires PHP 5.3+ which should
not be the case. Since SMW 1.8+ is keeping PHP 5.2 compatibility this
extensions should do it, too. Additionally this would make this extension
compatible with MW 1.19 LTS in an PHP 5.2 environment.
