Note: all this is en.wiki-specific. Also, quite adventitious/occasional; most
of that text has been killed, as far as I know.

This is not valid for all wikis.

Cluttering the account creation interface more seems a very bad idea.
The general idea of making it easier to customise the account creation page in
a less aggressive way has some value, but after re-reading this bug I don't see
any acceptable proposal here. Closing.
