            Bug ID: 45820
Summary: Links in "In other languages" broken when language is
an alias or out of use
           Product: MediaWiki extensions
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: WikidataRepo

          Reporter: [email protected]

    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

Set up a Babel-box with "no" as one of the entries, then try to accsess the
language "norsk bokmål" on the page for P236
(http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P236?uselang=en). When you click on the
link in "In other languages" this will fail to change the language as the "no"
languahe is a meta language for both (nn - nynorsk and nb - bokmål) written
forms of Norwegian. We now only supports the codes "nb" and "nn". Because
Norwegian (bokmål) Wikipedia uses no.wikipedia.org the erroneous use of "no" in
the Babel-box will be quite common.

More generally language aliases should be resolved in various places of the
code, as this kind of bug is very annoying for the user.
