            Bug ID: 46226
Summary: cached special pages empty while updating
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: 1.21-git
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Special pages
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Looking at a cached special page while this page gets updated, will give you a
empty list.
It is possible to move the delete of the cached result closer to the insert of
the new values? The delete/insert would be fast, so that should not be a
problem (or doing it in a transaction?). The queries of the cached special
pages mostly takes some time, at that time the page looks empty.

Looking a half hour later at the page gives result and a updated cached time in
the header.
