Summary: Single-page filters
Product: MediaWiki extensions
Version: any
Platform: All
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseFilter
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: Normal
Component: AbuseFilter
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
I think it would be useful to have edit filters for individual pages. This
saves the servers from having to check (article_text == "Blah"), which is what
makes current filters designed for single pages unfeasible (as they waste too
much run time). Benefits would include: being able to block users for a
three-revert rule violation on only one page, protecting a page against
vandalism but not good-faith edits, keeping certain people off certain pages,
etc.
