Not sure I would agree. The many dialects of English, for example, can be
dramatically different. 'Schedule' springs to mind[1].

Although I'd love to get into a discussion about collecting metadata with
recordings (geoip location of author, self-identity of dialectic origins, etc.)
I think at this point we should focus on the basic mechanics: user button to
record a brief audio snippet which is auto-uploaded to commons with
authoring/license templates, and the local wiktionary page updated.
