It would be nice to have a notice at both of these places informing visitors
about the 2012 migration to Git.
Relatedly, I come across r12345 links occasionally (mostly from
Special:Version; e.g. <http://codex.wordpress.org/Special:Version>). Perhaps in
addition to noting the Git migration, visitors could also be advised to update
their software (or nag the wiki they came from to update its software).
