I am not an IT technician, for me, if the JS failed to run on the IE, it is a functional defect, e.g. * batch replacement failed to displayed in the edit box , * Search Options box can not be displayed in the Advanced Search Page(check "All/None", * abnormal display results ( such as screenshots ), and so on. In short, I guess that MW does not support the latest IE10, because my MW was able to normal use on the the old version of IE or its compatibility view.
