Repro:
1. Use a slow network
2. Open a page
3. When the search box appears, start typing in it
4a. At some time ULS gets loaded, text previously typed appears missing
It may be another case:
4b. At some time ULS gets loaded, text previously typed gets selected, and my
next keypress clears it.
I'm not using that network now so it's not easy for me to try it again.
