Ran into this trying to switch the quote formatting on

to use {{quote}}
Many templates such as [[Template:Quote]] are basically wrappers around some
additional wikitext.
The template content editor is not wysiwig, and seems to contain a plain text
box. This means that any formatting is lost when cut-and-pasting text from the
main document into the template's content.
If another rich editor were embedded here, we should be able to paste in things
with links, references, etc.
