Erik Moeller <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #9 from Erik Moeller <[email protected]> --- Indeed, I think we should close this as WONTFIX. We should improve any efficiency or discoverability issues in VisualEditor, and help give users experienced with wikitext clues to not accidentally insert it in VisualEditor. See bug 50601 for one potential approach to the latter problem. Wiki markup was an awesome in invention in 1995, helping users not have to type HTML in order to format documents. But that doesn't mean the most efficient conceivable user experience in 2013 ought to be bound to the same design principles. (Nor should we blindly copy existing point and click interfaces -- for navigating the complexity of templates and such, we may have to come with some truly novel interfaces.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Wikibugs-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
