            Bug ID: 53090
Summary: VisualEditor: Hieroglyphics editor is stuffed
           Product: VisualEditor
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Editing Tools
          Assignee: [email protected]

                CC: [email protected], [email protected],

            Blocks: 43118
    Classification: Unclassified
   Mobile Platform: ---

Testing the hieroglyphics feature on MW.org just now:

1. Open VE and select some text
2. Click "Hieroglyphics" button

Why can I "apply" hieroglyphics to a run of text, as if it was a kind of
formatting? Doesn't make any sense.

3. Type some hiero codes (e.g. G26-t:Z4-A40) in the box
4. Leave the popup (by clicking away/clicking the < button)

The popup goes blank and can't be dismissed (Firefox 23).
Also notice that no hieroglyphics are seen.

5. Review changes.

The hiero tag successfully appears in the wikitext, even though it is invisible
in VE.

Sorry for three issues in one bug, but I guess you guys can figure this out.
