Gdash is a web-based Graphite metric dashboard. We currently deploy it via
Puppet; the source code is located in /files/graphite/gdash-app in the
operations/puppet repository. We'd like to deploy it via git-deploy instead.
git-deploy (rather than Debianization) makes sense because the codebase is
small and hackable and I expect we'll have many causes to extend it in the
future.
We should create an "operations/gdash" repository in Gerrit and set up
git-deploy for that repository.
This is a good opportunity for a volunteer to become more familiar with Puppet,
git-deploy, and Wikimedia infrastructure. If you're interested, feel free to
