The test result XML seems to be heavily entity-escaped beyond what is needed
for UTF8-encoded XML. In addition, there seem to be invalid entity escapes in
there- at least Chromium complains about them. Example:

Less (and correct!) entity escaping should save us a lot of disk space, and let
us view full results in Chromium.
