Using Firefox Nightly
2013-09-11-03-02-58-mozilla-central-firefox-26.0a1.en-US.linux-x86_64 with a
new profile and no extensions (I also use Firefox Beta), I
* logged in at
https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&returnto=Wikidata%3AMain+Page
* replaced the "www" in an URL with "en",
no redirect to "www" happened on further navigation.
