There's a specific input issue when the whole page is blank (whether or not an input method is used, i.e. even if you just type ASCII characters). Could you please try typing some text on the following page, under the words "Testing Area": https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Project:Sandbox&veaction=edit Then click "Save Page" and "Review your changes", and see whether the text appears correctly in the right-hand version. (After that, you can cancel the edit without saving).
