Bug ID: 54866
Summary: Edit tab titles are not consistent
Product: VisualEditor
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Unprioritized
Component: General
Assignee: [email protected]

Classification: Unclassified
Mobile Platform: ---
Edit tab titles are not consistent (on hu.wikipedia):
- If I am logged out, I see tab title "visualeditor-ca-editsource", and it
opens the source edit page.
- If I am logged in, and I have opt-outed from VisualEditor, then I see
"vector-view-edit", and it opens the source edit page.
- If I am logged in, and I have VisualEditor enabled (default), then I see
"vector-view-edit", which opens the visual edit page, and also
"visualeditor-ca-editsource", which opens the source edit page.
Some user on hu.wikipedia complained, that the same "vector-view-edit" meant
source edit 2 days ago, and it now means visual edit, which is confusing. So we
would like to rename both tabs, to be clear for everyone: we want to create a
"Visual edit" and a "Source edit" tab, with the same text for everyone. But
this structure makes impossible to set translation according to this, because
opt-outed users se the same text for source edit as non-opt-outed users for
visual edit.
