Summary: Infobox image link without imagesize leads to orphaned
image file
Product: Wikimedia
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Stev

free_image_.28File:LeadvilleTrail100_race.jpg.29
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: General/Unknown
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
I was notified that an image I uploaded for use in the infobox of an article (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leadville_Trail_100 ) was orphaned. I determined
that this was caused by the fact that the image link from the infobox was no
longer functional.
I fixed the broken link by providing a value for the imagesize parameter in the
infobox template.
As explained at the URL, the image link had previously been functional when I
created the infobox this past August. I suspect that something must have
affected image link processing in the infobox template code (Athleticrace)
which caused the link to break. So it is possible that this has caused images
on other pages that use this (and maybe other) templates to be orphaned as well
(just a hunch, though).
