The pesterbox requesting donations to Wikimedia (and appearing all
*.wikipedia.org sites) does not comply with various Manuals of Style, eg. the
following example:
“I couldn't ignore that banner at the top of the site anymore... I use
Wikipedia far too often to ignore the need!”

1. The date contains "8th", which is not allowed by en:MOS. It should be (in
US-specific format) "December 8, 2009", or (rest of world) "8 December 2009":

2. The use of "smart quotes" is outlawed, standard double quotes should be
used:

3. The second word inside the action button should be lower case unless it is a
proper noun:
"Donate now", not "Donate Now"
Ideally, any content forcibly inserted into WP page headers should be in
compliance with the relevant Manuals of Style in order to help prevent the
current unprofessional looking result.
