This, that and the other <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #21 from This, that and the other <[email protected]> --- Perhaps users without editbugs rights should be shown a link "Why can't I change these fields?" in the corner of the bug fields, which takes them to a help page on mediawiki.org or meta where they can read about the editbugs permission, and what criteria they need to meet to get it. Then they e-mail the Bugmeister to ask for permissions and explain why they meet the criteria (or file a request on a mw.o "requests for BZ rights" page - but then there is a risk of the request being left neglected or ignored if BZ admins forget to check the page). This is similar to what bugzilla.mozilla.org uses - if you want canconfirm rights there, you need to e-mail their admin (Gerv) with links to three good bugs that you have filed (that have been confirmed, and not invalid/wontfix/dupes/etc). They seem to be a bit more selective about who they give editbugs to (although I got it without asking for it - possibly by mistake). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Wikibugs-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
