As an avid Monobook user, my only real exposure to buttons is on the login form which, as I am logged out when using that form and the default skin which logged out users are presented with is Vector, has lovely coloured buttons. In fact I found it so confusing that I filed this bug. :-) That said, this isn't a blocker of the OAuth deployment.
