1. Edit [[mw:Manual:$wgEdititis]] in VE
2. Click the "Language" template at the bottom, to select it
3. Click in the blank space to the right of the word "places"
Notice that the template is (correctly) deselected.
4. Do steps 2 and 3 again
The template is not deselected this time. Even though the cursor is flashing in
the right place (implying deselection), any typing will overwrite the template.
