I like the idea. The black dot in the center seems to visually obstrusive to
me, though. My suggestion is either to do something clever to the black dot to
make it as significant as its visual weight warrants (ie, the black dot is
instead a circular "JS"), or else to de-emphasize it.
Incidentally, sunflowers have a nice fibonacci spiral in the center (see
http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/emat6680/parveen/fib_nature.htm). Perhaps replacing
the solid dot with black lines making an appropriate spiral would also help
reduce some of the weight.
