However, I don't agree that maintaining lots of bot- and userscript-based Draft processes is a key goal. The key goal is to "simplify the process of submitting draft articles" (as the closure put it). Steven was clear in the RFC comments: "I think we should take an experimental approach to this, objectively testing out how a new Drafts namespace should work." and "I want to test asking new article creators if they want to start a draft first before publishing to mainspace." There is a lot of MW software development that is not specifically requested by an RFC (including the original wiki software).
