When the app is hosted behind a proxy that is performing SSL termination the
Slim framework does not respect the HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO information provided
by Apache when generating absolute links. This causes the templating engine's
siteUrl() function to generate absolute links with the http protocol instead of
the expected https protocol.
